- Transverse line (remnant of intervertebral disc S. I-II; note similar transverse lines at lower levels of sacrum)
- Lateral part
- Sacral hiatus (pointers indicate margins)
- Apex of sacrum
- Intervertebral foramen (pointers indicate upper and lower walls of foramen)
- Articular surface (note dense bone underlying the articular surface for the ilium as well as heavy bony trabeculae passing medially and upward toward base)
- Middle sacral crest (in background)
- Pelvic sacral foramen (dorsal sacral foramen visible in background)
