Exploration of the spinal cord and meninges in situ
Cauda equina, conus medullaris and filum terminale
The lumbar part of the spinal cord has been exposed. The conus medullaris ends at the level of the arch of the second lumbar vertebra.
- Posterior lateral cutaneous branch of thoracic nerve XII
- Posterior intertransverse muscle
- Arch of lumbar vertebra I (cut across)
- Lateral intertransverse muscle
- Mamillary processs lumbar vertebra II
- Posterior branch of lumbar nerve I
- Dorsal iliocostal muscle
