Summary: Correspondence, diaries, notebooks, photographs, case histories and ledgers, articles, speeches, notes for his lectures and unpublished manuscripts from professional career. The speeches were chiefly delivered as Lane Popular lectures or at exercises of the Medical Dept. of the University of the Pacific, the Toland Medical College and Cooper Medical College. Manuscripts include the draft of a projected three volume surgical text, the first volume of which was published as Surgery of the Head and Neck. Included among papers from his continuing eduation are numerous translations and notebooks from lectures attended at King's College, University of London School of Medicine and Universitatis Literariae Fridericae Guilelmae, Berlin.
