- ArticleBairey MH.J Am Vet Med Assoc. 1978 Sep 01;173(5 Pt 2):610-3.Salmonella typhimurium bacterins, containing adequate antigenic mass, protected calves against clinical signs of salmonellosis and death. Protection against salmonellosis was correspondingly reduced when the bacterin was diluted 1:10 and 1:100. A mouse protection test revealed that 17 of 18 (94%) of the S typhimurium-containing bacterin serials produced in 1977 stimulated adequate immunity.
