- BookAshraf Ibrahim, Talal Al-Malki.Summary: This book is about the early diagnosis and management of cases of CES in children It starts by introducing the basic physiology of the esophagus and then goes on to discuss the different types of CES: tracheobronchial remnant, fibromuscular disease and membranous disease. The authors also introduce their pioneering diagnostic method using surgical specimens from the tips of the esophageal pouches during primary repair. The book also discusses the anatomical and structural changes in EA. The reader will become better informed about management and different diagnostic and treatment approaches for CES and will learn how to improve the rates of morbidity and mortality. Future directions for CES. - ArticleHonponu-Wusu OO, Reddy S, Osuhor PC, Aiyedun BA.J Trop Med Hyg. 1978 Feb-Mar;81(2-3):42-4.Measurements of immunoglobulin M, in 111 healthy adult Nigerians have been presented. IgM values ranged between 10 and 518 mg per 100 ml with a mean of 213.2 mg per 100 ml. Using the indirect immunofluorescent antibody test, 53.7 per cent of the 111 symptomless subjects in the study had demonstrable malarial antibodies of titres greater than 10,000. The implications of the observations in a holoendemic malarial zone are briefly discussed.
