- ArticleEhrenberger K.Endoscopy. 1978 Nov;10(4):260-4.Endoscopy of the pontine angle ("cisternoscopy") is a decisive diagnostic procedure in clarifying pathological processes in this region. Using a retrolabyrinthal approach through the mastoid bone, the endoscopes are inserted in the pontine angle for direct inspection. In the present study the method and the diagnostic results are described.
