    An epidemic of bacillary dysentery broke out at Mogadiscio in the first months of 1976 produced by Shigella dysenteriae type 1 supplanting all other familiers of Shigella before present in the zone. The date are relative to 675 cases with 27 deceased. The hydrological origin of epidemy was not probable.
