Exploration of the cerebellum and brain stem from above and to the right
Locus caeruleus, cochlear nucleus and taenia choroidea of fourth ventricle
The peduncle of the flocculus and flocculotegmental fibers seen in the previous view have been cut away to demonstrate other structures beneath the floor of the rhomboid fossa. The locus caeruleus (17) and some fibers of the mesencephalic root of the fifth nerve (19) are visible. The dorsal cochlear nucleus (9) is seen in the floor of the lateral recess.
