The wall of the cerebral aqueduct and fourth ventricle has been scraped away and much of the tegmentum of the mesencephalon removed to reveal the course of the brachium conjunctivum to its decussation (4). Dissection of the basal part of the pons shows the longitudinal course of corticopontine and corticospinal fibers.
