Nerve supply to flexor digitorum profundus muscle (continued)

The portion of the flexor digitorum profundus to the index finger (5) has been retracted laterally and the remainder of the muscle (13) has been retracted medially. The distal ramification of branches of the volar interosseous nerve and artery in the muscle is visible.

1. Pronator quadratus muscle
2. Brachioradialis muscle
3. Muscular branch anterior interosseous nerve (to flexor digitorum profundus muscle)
4. Branch anterior interosseous artery
5. Flexor digitorum profundus muscle (to digit II)
6. Flexor pollicis longus muscle
7. Pronator teres muscle (insertion)
8. Anterior interosseous nerve
9. Muscular branch anterior interosseous nerve (to flexor digitorum profundus muscle)
10. Muscular branch anterior interosseous nerve (to flexor digitorum profundus muscle)
11. Anastomotic branch between median and ulnar nerves
