Nerve and blood supply to flexor digitorum sublimis muscle

The flexor digitorum sublimis (14) has been detached from its radial origin (5) and reflected medially. An unusually large median artery (15) occurs in this specimen.

1. Abductor pollicis longus muscle
2. Radius (covered by periosteum)
3. Radial artery
4. Flexor pollicis longus muscle
5. Flexor digitorum superficialis (radial head)
6. Pronator teres muscle (area of insertion)
7. Extensor carpi radialis brevis muscle
8. Supinator muscle
9. Extensor carpi radialis longus muscle
10. Brachioradialis muscle
11. Median nerve
12. Ulnar artery
13. Muscular branches of median nerve
14. Flexor digitorum superficialis (left pointer, radial head, reflected; right pointer, humeral head)
15. Median artery (unusually large)
16. Flexor carpi ulnaris muscle
17. Palmar cutaneous branch of median nerve
18. Flexor carpi radialis muscle
