- Upper pointer: Levator muscle of thyroid gland Lower pointer: Fibrous-remnant of thyroglossal duct

- Prelaryngeal lymph nodes
- Branch of superficial cutaneous nerve (displaced inward at termination)
- Isthmus of thyroid gland
- Middle layer of superficial fascia
- Anterior jugular veins (connected by jugular venous arch)

- Thyrohyoid muscle
- Internal jugular vein
- Cricothyroid branch superior thyroid artery
