Relation of lacrimal gland to periorbita and zygomatic nerve

The roof and lateral wall of the orbit have been cut away. The bony orbital margin has been preserved and the anterior wall of the middle cranial fossa (great wing of sphenoid bone) has been left undisturbed.

1. Dura mater within anterior cranial fossa
2. Supraorbital margin
3. Periorbita (partially cut away to reveal lacrimal gland)
4. Superior lacrimal gland
5. Zygomaticofrontal suture
6. Zygomaticotemporal branches zygomatic nerve
7. Superior tarsus
8. Lacrimal nerve (terminal branches)
9. Lashes
10. Upper pointer: Margin of skin Lower pointer: Inferior tarsus
11. Conjunctiva
12. Zygomaticofacial branches of zygomatic nerve
13. Temporal fossa (origin of temporalis muscle)
14. Anastomotic branch lacrimal nerve with zygomatic nerve
15. Orbital fat pad
