Orbicularis oculi muscle; superficial nerves and blood vessels

The skin and subcutaneous tissue have been removed except for a narrow margin retained at the edges of the eyelids.

1. Ascending branches of supratrochlear nerve
2. Ascending branches of dorsal nasal artery
3. Frontalis muscle
4. Ascending branches of infratrochlear nerve
5. Descending branches of infratrochlear nerve
6. Procerus muscle
7. Medial palpebral ligament
8. Angular artery
9. Transverse part of nasalis muscle
10. Angular head of levator Iabii superioris muscle
11. Nasal branch of angular artery
12. Corrugator supercilii muscle (insertion cut off by removal of skin of eyebrow)
13. Branch supraorbital nerve
14. Temporal branch facial nerve
15. Orbital part orbicularis oculi muscle
16. Palpebral part of orbicularis oculi muscle
17. Skin supporting lashes at lid margin
18. Lateral palpebral raphe (ligament)
19. Zygomaticofacial branch of zygomatic nerve
20. Inferior palpebral branch of infraorbital nerve
