The fascia has been removed from the muscles.

1. Position of metacarpophalangeal joint of index finger
2. Lumbrical muscle I
3. Branch dorsal metacarpal artery I (dorsal digital artery)
4. Dorsal digital nerves of radial nerve
5. Dorsal interosseous muscle I
6. Adductor pollicis muscle (transverse head)
7. Branch dorsal metacarpal artery I (dorsal digital artery)
8. Tributary to cephalic vein
9. Abductor pollicis brevis muscle
10. Metacarpal I
11. Extensor pollicis brevis muscle (tendon of insertion)
12. Extensor pollicis longus muscle (tendon of insertion)
13. Position of metacarpophalangeal joint of thumb
14. Extensor expansion
15. Proper palmar digital nerve of median nerve
16. Proper palmar digital artery
