The jejunum has been pulled downward from the duodenojejunal flexure. The mesocolon has been dissected. Lymphatic structures which were previously shown (141-5) have now been resected.
1 . Transverse colon (elevated)
2 . Straight artery
3 . Marginal artery
4 . Inferior mesenteric vein (near junction with superior mesenteric vein)
5 . Middle colic artery
6 . Superior mesenteric vein
7 . Jejunum
8 . Left branch of middle colic artery (note communication with left colic artery)
9 . Band of intact peritoneum
10 . Filament of inferior mesenteric plexus
11 . Descending colon
12 . Left colic artery
13 . Inferior mesenteric vein (also see #4 above)
