Posterior limb of anterior commissure, optic tract and cerebral peduncle
The lentiform nucleus and paraterminal area have been dissected so that the posterior limb of the anterior commissure can be traced to the midline. The left column of the fornix has been cut across as it enters the hypothalamus. The optic tract can be seen through most of its course toward the lateral geniculate body since the lowest part of the internal capsule has been removed. Note
