Selecting a Database

The first place to look for biomedical journal articles is often PubMed@Stanford. However, for most research questions, this is not the only (or even necessarily the best) place to look. This guide to databases can help you determine the best resources in which to locate journal articles, book chapters, and more.

Multiple-Resource Simultaneous Search

These metasearches are often a good place to start when you're seeking a quick answer and aren't sure which particular resource best suits your needs.

The first two resources are good for determining who cited a particular article. The last resource is good for determining what the top journals in a field are.
