Stanford University Medical School alumni are eligible for free borrowing privileges at Lane. Please bring a picture ID and register for a library card if you want to borrow books or journals. Check our Borrowing page for details about loan periods, renewals, and such.

Medical School Alumni include all who have completed at least three quarters in a degree-granting program of the School of Medicine and all former postdocs, residents, interns, and fellows.

Other Stanford alumni may purchase borrowing privileges at a discounted rate:

  • 12 months for $300
  • 3 months for $120
