Class: Getting Grants from Foundations and Nonprofits

Description

This session will focus on the specific and often highly specialized funding interests of the "other" grantmakers: foundations and nonprofits. Similarities and differences between the NIH and foundations/NPs will be detailed. Funding opportunity search strategies, formally and informally initiating contact with grant officers, proposal development with a keen eye for the interest of the agency, and maintaining strategic relationships with the funding source, will be discussed.
