Archival material related to the predecessors of Stanford Medical School, Clinic, Hospital, and School of Nursing are chiefly from the period 1850-1912. Therefore, additions to this collection are now infrequent.
However, the Archives' staff welcomes the opportunity to appraise any records or memorabilia from this important era with a view to augmenting present holdings if the findings warrant.
There are no restrictions to access except that irreplaceable and fragile material must be used in the archival unit.
With respect to new acquisitions, the Archives will make no agreements that restrict access indefinitely, or that impose restrictions impractical to administer.
