The collateral ligaments and cruciate ligaments have been cut through to permit the separation of the femur from the tibia.
1 . Posterior cruciate ligament (divided)
2 . Anterior cruciate ligament (divided)
3 . Lateral condyle of femur
4 . Collateral ligament of fibula (divided)
5 . Iliotibial tract (cut off)
6 . Lateral meniscus (note its separation from fibular collateral ligament)
7 . Lateral condyle of tibia (articular surface)
8 . Infrapatellar fat body
9 . Patellar articular surface
10 . Line of reflection of articular capsule
11 . Medial condyle of femur
12 . Collateral ligament of tibia (divided)
