The muscle has been detached and retracted dorsally. The specimen has been turned so that the radial border of the forearm lies in the foreground of the view.
1 . Median nerve
2 . Radial artery
3 . Flexor digitorum superficialis (divided but not reflected)
4 . Pronator teres muscle (area of insertion)
5 . Radius
6 . Right pointer: Brachioradialis muscle (tendon of insertion) Left pointer: Extensor carpi radialis longus muscle (tendon of insertion)
7 . Extensor carpi radialis brevis muscle (dissected)
8 . Common extensor digitorum muscle
9 . Muscular branch radial artery
10 . Supinator muscle
11 . Muscular branch of radial nerve (to extensor carpi radialis brevis muscle)
12 . Deep branch of radial nerve
