Male external genitalia and perineum
Bulb of penis and deep perineal space; artery of bulb and duct of bulbourethral gland
The left half of the penile bulb has been opened and cleared of trabeculated erectile tissue. The area of attachment of the bulb to the urogenital diaphragm (9) has been preserved with the artery of the bulb passing through it. The duct of the bulbourethral gland (5) has been dissected from the point at which it emerges from the urogenital diaphragm to its site of penetration of the urethral wall, a distance of approximately two centimeters. The deep perineal space, located between the fascial layers of the urogenital diaphragm, has been opened by the partial resection of the perineal membrane.
