Dissection of pericardium and heart in situ
Latex cast of cavities of right atrium and right ventricle
The anterior walls of the right atrium, right ventricle, conus arteriosus and pulmonary trunk have been cut away to reveal a blue latex cast which fills the interior of these chambers. Impressions in the cast produced by muscle trabeculae are clearly visible. Casts of several anterior cardiac veins (9) have been dissected free in removing the wall of the heart and are visible attached at their points of entry into the right atrium.
