Then:

Lane, officially established in 1906, is one of the oldest medical libraries in the West. In 1907, it was also the largest medical library west of Chicago, with a collection of more than 35,000 volumes. More...

Now:

Lane's current collection stands at over 400,000 volumes; almost 16,000 periodicals; and nearly 6,000 digital resources. As we move into Lane's second century, the library is being transformed from a traditional book-centered library into a digital library and knowledge management center.
